Q: Does the Jazz Fest have a minimum age?

A: Nope! Jazz Fest is open to people of all ages! However, when purchasing a travel package, all persons must be at 21+ to check into the hotel. People under the age of 21 may still occupy a room; however, the person whose name is booked on the reservation must be 21+ of age to check in and must present valid photo identification.

Q: Do these travel packages come with festival-access?

A: Yes! All travel packages come with either 2 or 4 GA or Krewe of Jazz, Grand Marshal, or Big Chief VIP. You will get the same perks as any other non-travel package guests with the same ticket-type in addition to all the perks you’ll get as a Travel Package guest.

Q: Is there a payment plan for these packages?

A: Yes, there are payment plans for all travel packages! Pay 25% now with the remaining balance split into 2 equal payments monthly: March 1 and April 1. This option is only available until February 23. After February 23, pay 50% now and the balance on April 1. This option is only available until March 15. After March 15, you will be charged for the package in full upon your purchase. Select the ‘Payment Plan’ option during check out for more details.

Q: What are the check-in and check-out dates?

A: All packages are 4-nights, check-in on Thursday and check-out on Monday.

Q: What are the differences between the Krewe of Jazz, Grand Marshal, and Big Chief VIP tickets?

A: You can view specific details regarding each ticket type on the official Jazz Fest website here.

Q: Can I purchase a package over the phone?

A: Unfortunately, we are unable to process any orders over the phone and therefore all packages must be purchased online.

Q: Where will I receive my tickets?

A: On Location representatives will be at a designated location within the hotel to assist you. Here you can check in and pick up your tickets. Basically, one-stop check-in for everything!

Please be sure to bring your photo ID and credit card. Although your room is paid for in full, you will need a credit card for any incidentals you may incur. As it gets closer to the event, the package purchaser will receive an informational email with the exact time and location for Travel Package check-in.

Q: What time is check-in and check-out at each hotel?

A: We abide by the hotels’ standard check-in and check-out times, which are:

Hyatt Regency

Check-in begins at 4pm each day and all guests must be checked out at the end of their stay by 11am.

Loews New Orleans

Check-in begins at 4pm each day and all guests must be checked out at the end of their stay by 12pm.

Le Meridian New Orleans

Check-in begins at 4pm each day and all guests must be checked out at the end of their stay by 11am.

Sheraton New Orleans

Check-in begins at 4pm each day and all guests must be checked out at the end of their stay by 11am.

Windsor Court New Orleans

Check-in begins at 4pm each day and all guests must be checked out at the end of their stay by 12pm.

New Orleans Marriott

Q: Is parking provided at the hotel?

A: Hotel parking is not included in the package. Valet and/or self-parking is available upon arrival for additional fees. Public city parking is also available near all hotels for a fee. However, shuttle transportation to and from the venue is included in your ticket package. As it gets closer to the event, the package purchaser will receive an email with all the event details, including the times and locations for the shuttle services.

Q: Do I need to purchase a festival parking pass/is shuttle service included in my package?

A: It is not necessary to purchase parking passes with this travel package. Shuttle service between the hotel and venue is included in your package. We will let you know the specific shuttle schedule closer to the event – stay tuned for an informational email.

Q: Can I extend my stay beyond the travel package dates?

A: We are offering the additional night add-ons of Wed. 4/23 (Week 1) and Wed. 4/30 (Week 2). If you are interested in adding Wednesday onto your package, please reach out to our team directly at [email protected]

To add additional nights outside of what we offer to your ticket package, you will need to book those nights directly with the hotel. Please note, the front desk will most likely not have your ticket package reservation information yet. Once you’ve booked the additional night(s) with the hotel, please reach out to our Guest Services team at [email protected] with your reservation information and we’d be happy to submit a request to the hotel to link the reservations. While the hotel will always do their best to accommodate, there is a small chance you may have to switch rooms as all additional night requests are based on hotel availability. 

Q: As a VIP guest, how will I be able to find all the amazing VIP amenities and services throughout the festival?

A: Check out the Jazz Fest website for more festival information and details! Additionally, as it gets closer to the event, the purchaser will receive an email with all important event details.

Q: As a VIP, will I have access to all GA areas?

A: Yes! You will be able to access any area of the festival that General Admission guests are permitted to access. (Please note – this does not include GA+ areas)

Q: Can I use my On Location package for a contest/giveaway or to promote my website/product/event?

A: No. On Location’s trademarks, intellectual property, tickets and other offerings may NOT be used for advertising, promotions, auctions, contests, sweepstakes or any commercial purpose, without express written consent from On Location and its partners. Please see our purchase policy for more detail.

Q: I purchased a package as a gift, but I will not be in attendance. How can my friends and family members pick up their ticket on my behalf?

A: In order to accommodate this, the original purchaser must contact our Guest Services team at [email protected] to authorize an alternate pick-up person at least 2 weeks before the event date. This authorization will allow a friend or family member to pick up the package on the purchaser’s behalf. All informational emails and correspondence will still go to the original purchaser, and it is up to them to relay the information to the guest that is attending the event.

Q: What if I change my mind and don’t want my package?

A: All packages are non-refundable. Please refer to the Purchase Policy for complete details.
